crossed our path with The Caffeine Experience (TCE). TCE is more than just a coffee roastery cafe. It's a social enterprise that brews up specialty coffee, serves yummy gourmet food, and most importantly, brews up second chances. Founded in 2017 by Matthew Poh, a former offender, and Hilary Ho, a former prison officer, they set out with a heartfelt vision: creating job opportunities for ex-offenders and arming them with the skills and mindset to tackle life head-on.
we had the incredible opportunity to meet Matthew and hear his inspiring story first-hand. His mission to help ex-offenders find their footing in the workforce again resonated with me. And guess what? He's a major fan of big data and Notion, just like us! We had some great discussions about transitioning his cafe business entirely onto the Notion platform to streamline his business operations.
But Matthew's cafe isn't just about coffee and second chances—it's also a haven for some of the most adorable feline friends you'll ever meet! With a family of 35 cats, including Maine Coons and Shorthairs, Matthew's love for them is just as strong as his coffee. I'm lending a hand in building a cat database and featuring these lovely furballs on site, all through Notion and super.so.

Spent the dinner session with Ben and his wife, who are currently on their trip exploring Southeast Asia. They joined us all the way to Singapore, as part of their engagement with various Notion communities around the world.
Joined by the Notion ambassadors, we enjoyed a fruitful fellowship session discussing how to enhance our lives through small adjustments, like optimizing phone setups for maximum efficiency, exploring various use-cases for Notion such as financial tracking, and even utilizing it as a Wedding Planner for Ben and Karen.
